Summary: Taking place during the Joseon dynasty. Soo Ae plays a beautiful woman who is about to become queen. On a private excursion to see the sea, she comes across a man, who is immediately charmed at being around her & on her way back to the palace there is an assassination attempt on her life, in which this man (played by Cho Seung Woo) saves her live. He quickly falls for her, not knowing she is the next queen of the dynasty. She returns back to the place. However the man is so in love he cannot go without being around her. He weaves his way to be around her by becoming one of the kings imperial guard, proving himself to the king in skills of battle.
The movie then proceeds as she becomes queen, an a secret passion builds within the walls of the palace. All this goes on as outside influences are trying to become aligned with the Joseon Dynasty (Japan & others). Political turmoil builds between the Joseon & Japan to a boiling point & puts the royal family in great peril including the queen….
