2011 MelOn Music Awards

The ‘2011 MelOn Music Awards‘ was held last night, 24th November, in the Seoul Olympic Stadium. SNSD has beforehand had large success at these awards, taking residence the ‘Artist of the 12 months Daesang’ (top award) in 2009 & 2010, the ‘Music of the 12 months Digital Daesang’ in 2009 amongst an entire string of other awards. 2011 has positively been the year of the ‘Hallyu wave’, with Kpop concert events being held all around the world, awareness of Kpop has been rising throughout, even down beneath! SNSD has undoubtedly been on the forefront of the Hallyu wave and are utterly deserving of this award. Congratulations women!
